  Tuning your Car

If you are really into taking car of your car but don’t have a lot of money to do so. We can give you a step by step lesson on what you need to do when tuning up your car. This way if you are not mechanically inclined you know what needs to be done when you take it to an auto place. You will need to replace the fuel filter; the dirtier it is the injectors will become clogged. The spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor and wires should all be replaced at the same time. You will need to change the points and condenser only if you have an older car that does not have an electric ignition.

Check the ignition timing and adjust if needed, it is very crucial to starting your car. Not all cars have this so you may want to check with a mechanic. The valves should be adjusted unless your car has hydraulic valves, those do not need to be adjusted. Check all belts in the car, if they are the slightest bit worn have them replaced. Make sure all the fluids in the car are filled.

Have them do an oil change if you haven’t had one in the past three months. Change the air filter as well. Ask the mechanic to test your battery and ask them to fill with water if necessary. Try to change the PVC valve, it is very inexpensive to fix.
