Back in the day on all cars came hubcaps. Today hubcaps have been replaced by rims. You see more cars with rims than hubcaps. Rims give the car some extra personality and they do look better on some cars. Rims are just one of the things that can be done when customizing your car. You can put rims on any type of car, they look better on some models of cars. Most rims are made from chrome just like hubcaps; there are hundreds of different styles and manufactures.
You can get the standard rim or the spinning wheel rims, the standard rim looks almost like a hubcap and the spinning wheel rims have the inside of the rims spins even when the car is at a stop light. Some of the manufactures of the rims are Absolute, DOA, Dolce, Asanti, American Eagle, Boss and Alpha just to name a few. Rims come in all sizes so make sure you have the right size of your tire when getting rims.
Some of the different styles of rims are Pristine and Klone. The manufacturer DOA has cool names for their rims, they are Toe Tag, Dirt nap, Terminal and Penalty. There are so many different styles that we couldn’t name them all. Visit your local car parts dealer and see what they have to offer. You can even shop online; they may have a better selection. |
