|
Have you ever pulled up to a curb to park and you have gotten so close that you have scraped your hub caps or rims? Eight out of ten people have done so, not only is it bad for your hubcaps it is bad for your tires as well. There is a product on the market that can help you from hitting the curb again. The product is called Curb Feelers. Curb feelers are springs or wires that are installed on the sides of the car just below the bumper.
The curb feeler are fitted low on the body of the car close to the wheels, as your car gets closer to the curb, they act like feelers as the scrape against the curb warning you that you are too close to the curb. The feelers are very flexible so they cannot break. These feelers are good for first time drivers and for practice drivers as well. They can help you parallel park as well.
Right now they are working on electronic curb feelers so when you hit the curb a light will lit up inside the car letting you know you have hit the curb. They may not be the most attractive part of the car but in terms of damage it will minimize the damage to the hubcaps and the tires. Try your local car parts dealer and see if they are available. Ask your local mechanic as well, they maybe bale to install them for you. |
